New trailer unveils character customization, tools, and co-op hijinks!

Wandering Wizard has unveiled the radically revamped art style of Matrioshka Games’ upcoming mischievous multiplayer party game Gobby Gang. Packed with frantic action, clever tricks, and plenty of mining mayhem, Gobby Gang challenges players to outwit, sabotage, and outmaneuver their rivals in fast-paced multiplayer showdowns.

Gobby Gang is a chaotic 4-player co-op physics heist game where players control mischievous goblins and other fantasy creatures rebelling against their oppressors deep beneath the earth. Each run takes place during an underground “Shift,” tasking players with hauling enormous, volatile objects through hostile, collapsing voxel caves.

Unlike traditional obstacle-based games where players navigate fixed environments, Gobby Gang flips the formula - the obstacle is the object. Players must transport massive bombs, treasure orbs, and other unpredictable payloads through uneven terrain, forcing teams to dig, destroy, and carve their own routes forward using physics-driven tools and teamwork.

Designed to generate emergent frenzy, slapstick failure, and plenty of viral moments, Gobby Gang thrives on questionable plans and everything going wrong at once. Expect screaming goblins, collapsing caverns, flying explosives, and the constant threat of being crushed alive by the very tunnels you’re digging.

In a statement released by the dev team, they said, "When we first revealed Gobby Gang publicly in March 2026, we had the core chaos, physics, and voxel technology—but weren't sure where it could go. We took a hard look and rebuilt the game from the ground up.

That meant overhauling the art direction, infusing the world and characters with personality, expanding treasure-hunting gameplay, and introducing new Critterz, items, unlockables, and progression systems. The result: a polished, generous experience full of discovery with friends.

Gobby Gang is built by a small team, no more than a dozen people at any time. That focus has forced us to be intentional with every decision, yet paradoxically brought us closer creatively. The personality, content, and variety we've achieved exceeds what we thought possible at launch.

We're targeting an affordable price point without compromising on quality or lasting value. Players should feel there's always something new to unlock, another item to find, another ridiculous story unfolding… and another reason to reunite the Gang.
